A worship pastor and friend in Manaus, Brazil send me a prayer request recently. His sister-in-law, Eva, went to the hospital to have her baby and got Covid and has been in a coma for 9 months. She has never held or nursed the baby. The baby has never felt her mother's embrace.
Eva is a worship team member of a key church in the Amazon area.
Aristarco said, "Eva continues to live a miracle every day. She continues to experience spikes in high blood pressure, fever, etc. She is already without access through the peripheral veins... She will have to undergo a surgical procedure so that the doctors can administer medication.”
We are taking Eva to the throne of God in intercession and asking God for a miracle. I am praying God would raise her up from her death bed to resurrection life and reunite her with the baby all for His glory and fame.
“…so take up every piece of war equipment God provides; so that when the evil comes, you will be able to resist; and when the battle is won you will be still standing." (Eph 6:13 Jewish Bible)
Aristarco's church family started 50 hours of spiritual warfare this weekend. They will use the song "It Is Time" as one of their Biblical weapons of worship.
You might be thinking how can the sweet intimate worship of God be a destructive weapon to do violence to Satan’s kingdom. The answer is, these expressions of worship when done from the heart become weapons in God’s hand. Praise and worship and the resulting power of God’s presence has an effect on demons of darkness. (Read the miracles in the book Encounter)
These weapons have saved our daughter's life and may save your life or the life of someone you love. Do you know how to fight when your enemy comes? I want to help you be an expert in armed combat. So you know how to use your spiritual weapons when under attack. We are not “armed forces” if we are not “armed with force” (God’s presence).
In this season when our culture celebrates (worships), demons, devils and the dead these weapons are needed more than ever. You have a supernatural enemy who wants to destroy you, and your family. He is spiritual so you must fight him in the spiritual dimension with spiritual weapons. Our struggles are not against people but spiritual powers of darkness and forces of evil in the atmosphere. (Eph 6:12 ESV). The Bible says that Satan actively “creeps around as an intimidating wild beast searching for someone to prey on, swallow and consume.” (1 Peter 5:8). This term means he will not only bite you, but swallow and digest you.
However, God knows the struggles we have with demonic forces and gave you weapons to resist him. The Jewish Bible says in Eph 6:13 “we are fighting “spiritual forces…so take up every piece of war equipment God provides; so that when the evil comes, you will be able to resist; and when the battle is won you will be still standing.”
What is our war equipment? What are our weapons? Remember, “The weapons of our warfare are not physical [weapons of flesh and blood], but they are mighty before God…” (2 Cor 10:4-5 Amp)
The Bible tells us we can use the Sword of the Spirit (Eph 6:17) by speaking His Word. We also can speak the name of Jesus in a situation. We can tell our testimony (or story) (Rev 12:11) “They overcame him (Satan) by the word of their testimony. We can declare the prophecies we have received (1 Tim 1:18). We can use the blood of Jesus (Rev12:11)”
There are also weapons of praise and worship we can use like...
Marching or Stomping (Luke 10:19 “Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy…”). “Every place on which our feet will tread you have given it to us (Duet 11:24).
Lifted Hands - (Ex 17:11) “When Moses held up his hand, that Israel prevailed and when he let down his hand, Amalek’s (hellish horde) prevailed.” This enemy was under the influence of evil and violent spirits because sacrificed their children to demon idols. When Moses simply lifted his hands in the air, like a banner or flag, the Satanic army was defeated. So, lift your hands like banners before God serving notice to spiritual powers whose kingdom you are part of and see if your enemies will not be turned back.
I encourage you to stand your ground against the assault of Satan and use your weapons of worship. This is a season not celebrate darkness but to stand against it with the weapons God has given us and see victories and miracles.
It is time to take the kingdom. It is time to say no more.
It is time to push back the forces of evil. It is time to go to war.
No Satan you can't have me!
No you can’t have my land
No weapon formed against me will prosper
For God is in command.
